Dr. Trent Wittal earned his ‘Doctor of Chiropractic Degree’ from Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California, where he graduated with honors in December of 2015. Prior to attending chiropractic school, Dr. Wittal earned his Bachelor’s degree in ‘Kinesiology’ from the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, B.C. During his studying at Palmer, he was an active member of the Sports Council, which enabled him to treat a wide range of athletes at different events such as, the Escape of Alcatraz, the Sea Otter Classic, and worked as a chiropractic intern at Saint Mary’s College. Since returning to B.C, Dr. Wittal has worked with SFU hockey and the Burnaby Lakers Sr. A Lacrosse team, as their team Chiropractor and athletic trainer.
Dr. Wittal is also certified in Strength and Conditioning, Applied Kinesiology, Myo-Matrix Release Technique and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). He is constantly in pursuit of knowledge and is continually taking extensive education classes in rehabilitation, soft tissue therapies and extremity adjusting, these are allowing him to acquire a unique compilation of skill sets that allow him to address a variety of different musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Wittal’s desire to help those in need through chiropractic care comes from being an avid athlete, with a strong passion for sport. He has spent over 15 years competing in ice hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and rugby, and having suffered from a multitude of injuries himself, relied on chiropractic care throughout his athletic career, to keep him active and competitive in sports.
Through years of experience dealing with athletic injury, he has developed an effective, non-invasive, hands-on approach to help his patients reach their health and wellness goals quickly and safely.
